Sher Criminal Lawyers established its offices in Melbourne, Australia. Having earned a reputation as one of Victoria’s most trusted criminal defence lawyers, principal Craig Sher founded his practice upon one simple but enduring rule - “exceed expectations”.
Craig’s passion for criminal law began with his schooling. In 2005, he was awarded the “Principal Scholarship” by Bond University, in recognition of his academic excellence and his contribution to his school and the wider community. Four years later, Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree aged only 21.
Later, he went on to earn a position at one of Melbourne’s leading criminal law firms. Whilst there, Craig gained years of experience working closely alongside the firm’s principals. Weekly, he appeared before the courts in Victoria representing clients at all stages of the legal process. Further, Craig regularly assisted and briefed Senior and Queen’s Counsel in the running of complex jury trials before the County and Supreme Courts.
During this tenure, Craig helped hundreds of clients to achieve outstanding results. His experience across all areas of criminal law and at all levels of the Victorian Justice System earned Craig a reputation amongst clients and colleagues for being a trustworthy, knowledgeable and ardent defence expert. Wanting to build upon his passion for the law, he took the initiative to start his own specialist criminal law firm in the heart of Melbourne.
